Story of our kennel..... namely how we became devoted entusiast
of the breed, and some everyday thoughts.
1995-2004. 2005. 2006.
2007.
1995-2004.
Our love with the breed started by the issue (1995.) of The Dog (hungarian cynologique
magazine) where they published detailed presentation with pictures about the
breed. This attraction come true many years later when we met a Rhodesian Ridgeback
puppy. At that moment the special characteristic and the harmonic appearance
of this RR even more enchanted us! This dog was so steady someway. Its set-up
was muscular but not terrific, rather powerful, dignified and beaming intelligence.
Its hairs practical and ist silhouette is definitive. Certainly, then we didn't
have any informations about the RR's character. Later we substituted our incompletenesses
by Internet. Slowly but surely mellowed the decision in us, that we would like
a Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Atfer that we moved into house with large garden, instantly we started seeking RR. Under this searching -as we cleared up later- we got into touch with the former owner of Alíz. He hardly tried to getting rid of her.... We did not pick up the contact with him seriously because we did not want adult dog and then Alíz was about 2,5 yrs old! We have moved on. At last we hit upon Ango! Ango has been over 2 yrs old but she is a big 'puppy'!
Alíz popped into our life in April, 2004. First time we feared about how they will like each other the two biches but these fears proved needless. Today they are in 'love' like sisters.
Our visit on the EuroDoShow at Bratislava was the last great impulse into the breeding. It was gorgeous to saw same time the variegation and the uniformity of the breed. Although our kennel is young nevertheless faithful and committed to Rhodesian Ridgeback breed and our determined aim is that our further activity serve the interests of the breed.
2005.
In the middle of June, 2005. our first litter was born. Our sweet bitch Ango
has whelped 12 puppies! It was marvellous and responsible to care them. It wasnt
easy but we found the perfect owners for our puppies. We selected among the
inquirers but we are satisfied with the final result.
We keep one promising girl from the litter Bulawayo
Baobab Bahiya. Her name means: beautiful. And I guess its true. We love
so much his Daddy Ascot Alta Mirano therefore we keep his bloodline and his
super temperament by her daughter Bahiya.
We are also watching the other members of Bulawayo Baobab B-Team, we always get new photos the kids, which you can see on their page!
2006.
Now, we have 3 RR ladies. Baya the youngest lady in the pack. She is a real
naughty RR kid! She learns a lot from his strictly mom Ango, and from her aunt
Alíz. She is yielding with her. :-) She will go more and more dog shows
we hope she will be successful in the ring like his Dad.
After a long search, we chose the South-African Karoskloof Mack's Jamir from
Holland for the sire of our C litter. By this we carry totally new bloodlines
to Hungary and we had born a beautiful litter. :o) From this litter we kept
co-owned 2 puppies: Copper (male) and Cyrah (female). Copper superbly successful
in show ring and hopefully he will gain more and more titles in future. Meanwhile
we enlarge our kennel with Dahme Ranua aka Akiba. She combines in her pedigree
2 diffrent but successful lines, the finnish Malozi and the South-African Cartouche.
At the last moths Baya gained more titles on the shows. We were satisfied with
this year.
2007. ![]()
We dont have litter in this year. This is the year of study the
B, and C litter, and choose the best male for our Bahiya for 2008. with the
knowledge of our previous litters. We are searching the best one for her, and
we hope we can publish it in the next few months. We must to elect watchfully
because it will be our first real Baobab litter from our own
breed female Bahiya.
